Happy (super) belated New Year
everyone! It’s a new year and I’ve embarked on new beginnings. I designed a new
logo, new logo animation and new name for my YouTube Channel, blog, and I even
have a website in the works. All designed by yours truly of course. I’ve
changed my name from BnzyArts to BLewisArts and I have some big plans for this
year. The most challenging of which, was designing my new logo.

It took me a really long time to
decide what I wanted my personal logo to be. For some reason, I find it much
easier to design for other people than to design for myself, primarily because
I don’t spend much time thinking about it. But for this occasion I sat down and
over the course of several weeks (yes, it took me forever as it seems), I
came up with something that really says “Brittany”. I am a very big fan of musicianship, particularly
with Jazz music. So I wanted my logo and banners for the different sites to
express that in a very simple and clean way. I came up with a custom script for
my initials. It’s clean, it’s versatile and it’s me. I can change the color if
it based on the project I use it on, it’s very beautifully written and I’m
super happy with it.

The next step from designing my
logo was to create all the banners to tie the different platforms together and
once that was complete, I went into designing my logo animation. Now, this
animation and the music that accompanies it has to carry out that free flowing,
improvisation that reminds me of jazz music. I had an idea of
what I wanted to accomplish and I was lucky enough to find a really helpful
tutorial on how to make that happen and what you see below, is the finished
product; just finished today as it happens. So what’s to come for B. Lewis in
2015? Every year I like to try and improve upon what I’d done the previous
year. Last year I created more than I’d ever created and this year I want to
make even more. Right now, I don’t have a large amount of art in the archives,
so I’d like to have enough to do an exhibition one day. We also have a comic
expo in June, which should be fun, and I’m currently working on two large companion
paintings that I think would be a fun series and I’ll tell you guys all
about that later. So until next time, I’ll
leave you with my super awesome, expertly executed, logo animation. Peace
